The Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has felicitated with the leadership and members of the University of Nigeria Alumni Association, Imo State Branch, over the celebration of some of their outstanding members especially those who have served and those still serving in the Rescue Mission Government.
The Governor also commended the Association for the foundation laying stone of its secretariat, with the two events slated for Saturday.
Owelle Okorocha expressed delight that a good number of his appointees are products of the University of Nigeria, and that they have given good account of themselves including the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Angela Uwakwem, that of Finance, Barrister Obinna Mbata and Commissioner for Planning, Chief I k Njoku.
The Governor commended Dr. Pat Ekennia led Alumni Association and the chairman of the organizing committee of Saturday’s events and Chief Chukwuma Ekomaru SAN, for coming up with the programme.
He wished the entire members of the Association and his appointees to be honoured, a hitch-free celebration.
