The State Government says it is ready to provide houses for Civil Servants and other Imo citizens.
The Commissioner for Housing, Barr. Tony Umezuruike announced this on Orient FM Programme, “The Appointee”.
Barr. Umezuruike said that the Ministry was saddled with the responsibility of providing houses for Imo people, adding that the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has given approval for a three bedroom flat housing scheme for every average civil servant in the State, as well as providing five hundred housing units in the three zones of the State for non-civil servants.
He disclosed that the Ministry had gone far in acquiring an Estate for the Housing scheme for civil servants and assured them that soon all abandoned government buildings would also be completed in addition to rehabilitation of parks.
The Commissioner lauded the Governor for the ongoing rural road development.
