Imo people have been enjoined to be good representatives of their homes and the State.
The Commissioner for Public Safety, Mr. Chidi Nwaturuocha who said this on Orient FM Programme “The Appointee” said his Ministry would work at ensuring the security of lives and property of the citizens.
Mr. Nwaturuocha expressed the readiness of the Ministry to work towards ensuring that no filling station is located within residential areas.
He promised to provide quick response telephone lines to enable the public contact them in event of fire outbreak.
In a related development, government has expressed its willingness to reduce poverty among the people of the state.
The Commissioner for Labour, Mr. Blessing Nwamerenini disclosed this during an Orient FM programme “The Appointee”.
Mr. Nwamerenini said the aim of his Ministry was to ensure that people acquired skills for their development affirming that many have benefited from the state government’s empowerment on Agric. programme.
He said government would soon complete a new labour building and described the Governor as God sent who means well for the citizenry.
